Bug Description

Binary package hint: software-center

In Software Center it reports no application or packages.

Ubuntu 9.10
Synaptic 0.6.25

Application do not appear in the list or in any menu. I would like to see what packages I have installed and ones that I would like to install.

can you please type sudo apt-get update in a terminal and then start software center again.

Sorry for the late response. I did as you asked but it did not work so instead I just completely reinstalled Ubuntu. Any idea about what went wrong or what happened?

Thanks for the bug report. The problem could have been caused by, I dont really know what but since you dont face the problem anymore we'll close this bug but feel free to open this again if you get the problem again. Thanks
