Bug Description

Feature Freeze exception request for syncing latest google-perftools from debian.

The sync is current filed as bug: #519996

The current ubuntu version is very old and the upstream version has fixed many bugs since then.

Changelog entries since current lucid version 0.98-1ubuntu1:

google-perftools (1.5-1) unstable; urgency=low

  * New upstream release (Closes: #521935)
  * Now this package will be built on i386, amd64 and powerpc
    (Closes: #387401, #506679, #556908)
  * debian/control: Bumped up Standards-Version to 3.8.4.

The sync request was filed before feature freeze and had problems because of libunwind build issues. From what the sync request notes, this build issue has been resolved. This now allows perftools to support more architectures.

libunwind still isn't fixed, setting to incomplete. Please set back to new once libunwind is done. Thanks!

libunwind is published now on i386, amd64 and ia64. Can you recheck about google-perftools for maverick? Thanks.

google-perftools 1.5 builds and installs fine in maverick, for amd64.
