Bug Description

AWN 0.3.9 on Ubuntu 9.10, no compiz. When launching calendar applet, it reports "Unable to read calendar data from external source." Calendar was previously configured to read Evolution calendar data. AWN installed from http://launchpad.net/awn-testing/ppa/ubuntu-karmic main.

Expected action: Click on calendar applet icon. Calendar applet should show calendar data from Evolution.

Actual response: Calendar applet displays error message described above.

Hi,
I have Avant Window Navigator 0.4.0 running on my Ubuntu 10.04 from Ubuntu's repository.
I used to use Gnome's panels.
Graphic card used: NVidia Quadro FX 770M
Visual effects turned on (Compiz Fusion).

The AWN calendar applet seems unable to access the Evolution calendar: when clicking on the calendar applet, I have a "Unable to read calendar data from external source." error.
Indeed, ît shows no Evolution data.

I couldn't reproduce the message "Unable to read calendar data from external source." but access to Evolution was definitely broken with an error message in terminal (ValueError) and a silent error in date comparison.
Fix committed in rev. 1488.

I have this problem since the very first version of awn, now I'm on natty and this error still occurs. Once I deleted the evolution data source, recreated it and it still remains.
I guess that could be a old configuration value in the gconf system, but I have no idea, how to debug this stuff. I would like to use this applet.
