Support for clearing the stream has been removed and isn't coming back. The new database system makes it difficult to support this practically and I don't think that the feature is popular enough to warrant the effort. If somebody submits a patch with a good implementation, I'll consider including it.

I'm confused. How do you delete posts or clear them?

Still not sure how to delete old messages? Is this something that happens on ever start. I know that refreshing it doesn't clear them and I am sure that closing and reopening doesn't as well. To load that many posts makes Gwibber slow.
I also have no way of seeing the upstream bug, can you point me to it if it shows a response for what I'm looking for

That is a no-go for me. Clearing the stream is one of the most important features. I don't want to search everytime up to where I did read my stream. At least Gwibber should save the position otherwise.
Seems I will have to stick with Twhirl for the time being...

If you don't open gwibber for a while what happens to the posts that were there? Do they just keep building up or do they get removed on its own? I am unable to check gwibber/emails ect... every week at times and with the amount of people i follow i should be able to search/see all of them when i want to. This bug isn't just about me others have replied as well. If you want more users to support this option please let me know and i will make this bug so people can see it instead of just those users that are subscribed to the gwibber bugs.

At this time there is no way to save a post in Gwibber. might I suggest adding that feature so this one may not be so needed or wanted?

I'm closing this since it seems they will not support this no matter what is asked for. Just because people do not look for bugs on this doesn't mean they don't want it
Thanks for your help
