Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately we can't fix it without more information. Please run 'apport-collect -p alsa-base 523804' in the Terminal. This will automatically add information about the sound software on your computer to this report.

@karthick
We first need to have you run 'apport-collect -p alsa-base 523804' in the Terminal. While you did report this bug with apport, this command will get extra information about your sound hardware and software which will make it easier to determine the cause of your bug. Please do this for us and we can work to get this report seen by developers. Thanks in advance!
