after update is applyed only micro windows opens

Bug Description
Binary package hint: firefox-3.5
Each time an update has been installed for firefox the following has happned.
If firefox was open during the update process and i don't shut it down/restart, each new firefox window i try to open is no bigger then the dot in the upper left corner.
As soon as i close all windows firefox will start working normaly again.
This issue is not pressent on Windows or mac.
