Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdepim

KMail 1.12.2 on KUbuntu 9.10 Karmic

If I delete an (IMAP) account and then exit KMail, it invariably crashes. I don't have debug libraries installed, but it should be easily reproducible.

Hi there!

Thanks for reporting this bug! Your bug seems to be a problem with the KDE program itself, and not with our KDE packages. While we appreciate your issue, it would be better if it was tracked at https://bugs.kde.org, so that the KDE developers can deal with this speedily and have direct communication with you as the reporter for more effective debugging.

Thanks!

Would you mind providing some details here why you think it's a KDE problem, so that other KUbuntu users who run into the same problem?

For the record, here is the KDE bug id: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=226616

We ship a pristine KMail with no crashes, so there's not any reason to really consider this a kubuntu-induced bug.
