kobodl has no sound; hangs on exit with X server locked

If I run kobodl, it has no sound. The console in the meanwhile has messages like

  [9631] Audio command FIFO overflow!

constantly repeating.

Additionally, when I exit, kobodl hangs after printing

  [17004] Stopping audio engine...

If it was in full-screen mode, the X server is currently locked so you cannot do *anything*, except Ctrl+Alt+F1, log in via text mode and killall kobodl, after which it cleanly exits after printing

  [80578] Second try quitting; using brutal method!

There's a workaround:

  export SDL_AUDIODRIVER=pulse

before running kobodl.

Sorry for the delay in responding. Does this ever occur in trusty or later? Sounds works fine for me in trusty.

Let's assume it's fixed.

(I'm at work so I can't test sound, but if I unset SDL_AUDIODRIVER and run kobodl, it doesn't hang. I'm on Ubuntu 15.10.)
