It is fine to overwrite the ubuntu changes.
Please take the .orig.tar.gz from debian as well, as the ubuntu version of the orig.tar.gz has been repackaged (was originally a bz2), and doesnt have the same size.

I've been told that the .orig.tar.gz cant be synced as well. Merging manually.
