Bug Description
Binary package hint: xserver-
Ubuntu release: 9.10
Package version: 1.1.2-1ubuntu7
Expected behavior:
Set two finger scrolling in mouse properties would work
What happened instead:
Two finger scrolling only works with edge scrolling
This bug is the same than bugs #422224 and #476866 but on different hardware.
The touchpad is definitely multi-touch capable as windows 7 behavior shows. The workarounds in the related bugs are multi-touch emulation and therefore not acceptable.
This affects many different computers and seems to indicate that a fundamental bug in the driver impacts on all of us.
Thanks if you show some interest for this issue.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. If you could test the current Ubuntu stable release(maverick ubuntu 10.10), this would help us a lot.
