Bug Description
Binary package hint: kdm
The *buntu trio (ku, u & x) don't handle large screen displays well during install. I put together a Media Center PC and installed Kubuntu 9.10. During the install from the live CD, the text is way too small to read on my 53 inch TV. This is an easy fix for someone familiar with Linux (open /etc/kde4/kdm/kdmrc and append '-dpi 120' to the end of the ServerArgsLocal line), but needs to be addressed.
Large screen TVs are becoming the norm, and people are going to want to give Linux a try on their MC PCs. Ubuntu needs to either be able to detect this, or have a boot menu option on the live CD to select or set the dpi size.

DPI should relly be set by X (or the driver) and not the display manager.
