Reboot the system and start using the environment
Type any text in terminal (xterm / gnome-terminal) or gedit or Firefox or Synaptic
Press Enter
Actual result:

On System 2:
Download NVidia package from download.nvidia.com for the card and install it
Reboot the system and start using the environment
Type sudo su - or launch synaptic and let the password dialog pops up
Press Enter (only for sudo)
Actual result:

Additional info:

If you need any additional info, please let me know.
Thanks
I'm having the same problem. I also had another problem reported here: https:/ /bugs.launchpad .net/ubuntu/ +source/ xorg-server/ +bug/522554
Upon logging in again after that, hitting Enter doesn't seem to hang the system anymore.
