Bug Description

Binary package hint: update-manager

The current confirmation dialog is too technical and contains too much information. A lot of the package the user will not know about. We need to discuss how to make it more useful.

Ideas:
 - show nothing at all
 - show nothing before and a summary after the upgrade
 - only show applications
 - only show applications and stuff that is not in the default install

Michael, is this about the dialog when upgrading from one Ubuntu version to the next? I've redesigned that dialog to summarize the download size and duration, the new Ubuntu version, any removed applications, and the extra disk space required. <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReleaseUpgrades#ready>
