This sounds like what I'm running into... but when I open the calendar, it's fine, except when I try to go backward from February 2010 to January 2010. Going forward from December 2009 skips to December 2010.
Also, I notice that the weeks are numbered incorrectly (it says that Monday, February 1st falls on the 4th week of the year)... this may be related.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=221243 appears to describe part of this problem, but they say that kde 4.2 is no longer supported, and recommend upgrading.

Oh, and I'm running u904, x86_64 if it matters. My kde-base is 4:4.2.2-0 (I just updated too, so I don't know why it's earlier).
