Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

hey all,

using compiz in Ubuntu Karmic 9.10, i often plug my laptop (Dell Inspiron 1525) to a HD TV or larger screen. when doing so, after pressing the Fn+F8 combo (as coded in the laptop) the screen reduces the resolution to 1024x768 (or 800x600) in order to project/synchronise with the new screen.

Everything works, including many of the compiz effects, discluding the Enhanced Zoom effect.

i tested this in more than one TV/screen -- with HDMI, DVI and S3 -- and the problem is always the same..

thanks in advance

Thanks for the report, it has been some time without any response or feedback in this bug report and we are wondering if this is still an issue for you with the latest release of Ubuntu the Natty Narwhal, May you please test with that version and comment back if you're still having or not the issue? Please have a look at http://www.ubuntu.com/download to know how to install that version. Thanks in advance and sorry for the late response.
