Bug Description

Binary package hint: gallery

ii gallery 1.5.9-1.2ubuntu1 a web-based photo album written in php

When using the configuration wizard as the gallery admin, the last step (saving the configuration) fails with the following error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /var/lib/gallery/setup/write.inc on line 210

The file in the error message (write.inc) contains an error on the line : there is a double quote too much at the beginning of the line. Removing it fixes the issue.

This is fixed in Lucid with package version 1.5.10.dfsg-1ubuntu1. If you are interested you could create an updated package that solves this bug for Karmic and Jaunty by following the process at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates. Thanks for the patch.

OK, I managed to create a fixed package using dch, debuild and pbuilder. Here is the complete patch + the results of pbuilder. I packed all the files in a tar.gz archive.

I installed the resulting package on my computer, the issue is fixed.
