gdm does not start properly (I need to switch with CTRL-F7)!

Bug Description

Binary package hint: yelp

After last upgrade (3 Feb 2010),

after usplash screen (boot time), gdm does not start properly. In particular it start but to see the screen it is necessary to switch
using CTRL-F7 and I don't understand the sense of this.
However with the previous kernel release this does not happen...

I can confirm this issue. It started to show only just recently.

The issue was a plymouth one and has been fixed in lucid since
