You might consider removing the program. Then restart computer to make sure nothing is in the cache. Then reinstall the program and try one more time. If you have Norton please close it completely. Do you have enough memory would be something to look at. Once it stop were you able to "fix problems"? If this persist maybe do one section at a time and see if it will do the work (to do this just uncheck all except for one..

i already did that a while back. in the process i uninstalled norton antivirus, replaced it with avg, and then did a clean install of windows 7 from vista. i have 2gb ram and after letting it sit there(frozen) for around 10 minutes it removed the problems successfully. after switching to 7 i added four of the registry errors to the ignore list that kept showing up... haven't had a problem since

I am not the programmer who put littleregistry together but can you list those 4 registry errors on this page so the owner can see them and hopefully he/she will able to do some test and see why they are not working properly?
According to the credits on littleregistry these people should be able to help you further.

From Ludo H:

Dear Sir

I've been running your application "Little Registry Cleaning" and it looks OK. However during the scanning of my registry the first time a got a lot of problems (near 6000) and the program looks frozen. I tried to devide the problems by running each option separat. At least then I get an output window but this takes a lot of time. Probably the big list would also be working, but it would take too much time before displaying the problems. Perhaps you can find a solution for this issue. Eg. limit the amount of problems displayed to 500. Sinserely yours

So here what you can try. Stop all application from running. Like anti-virus and everything else. Unplug your internet connection so if something is trying to connect you will know, then stop those one also. Clear all your cache, browser history manually. Then restart your computer and reload little registry as in delete the application and re-install it. It seems that you haven't done this for a while so it will take time. Now re-start you computer one more time and make sure that nothing is working in the background (application). Then run little registry. Give it lots of time to do its work. If you still have the same error please let us know on this page.
Claude
