That fix is implemented but it makes things look odd. I'll defer to George for an opinion about the solution. It's a bit of a trade-off if we want to show all 12 covers all the time in the carousel, because it has to show two rows of covers embedded in a single panel. The carousel assumes that the contents will fit, but they don't always fit. The picturebook search is probably an extreme example of the problem.
