Bug Description

This is a good bugfixing release and would be a improvement to the ekiga package that belongs to ubuntu-desktop package.

Can anyone please tell me why a bug with lower number (51372) is marked a duplicate of a bug with higer number (51598).? Shouldn't it be other way round?

I have marked this bug as confirmed anyway.

I just wanted to clarify that there are to bug reports concerning th same subject. After I've reported as duplicated, I've noticed that I've reported an older report as a duplicate of an newer one.

Considereing Launchpad as a buggy and cracky application, I was affraid to 'double report' two reports as duplicated. I think they can crash if 'Report A' is marked as duplicate of 'Report B' at the same time 'Report B' is marked as duplicate of 'Report A'. Sory for that

I really don't care here which gets marked a duplicate of what, as long as in the end there are no more duplicates.

As far as an Ekiga backport, there are reported instabilities with Edgy ekiga, and to me the Dapper ekiga works well enough. It's a prominent (and advertised) part of the Dapper desktop, so specific bug fixes should be done through the dapper-updates channel

As a result, this backport request will be rejected.
