Bug Description
Binary package hint: gscan2pdf
Ubuntu 9.10, gscan2pdf 0.9.29-1
Assume the user wants to import all pages of a document when a file is selected for import. This will be acceptable behavior for probably 90% of the use cases, as the pages can later be deleted with more control (select odd/even + delete). I think this would enhance the user experience.

I added the ability to import selected pages from TIFF because a user
was having problems running out of space in tmp when gscan2pdf
extracted all pages.
As it is only one extra click, I see this as a very minor
inconvenience - the alternative being an option in preferences whether
to display the page selection dialogue or not.
