Bug Description

Binary package hint: fast-user-switch-applet

Switching to a logged-in user brings us to a black screen, fusa should poke the ssaver like the resume script does it after resuming from hibernation or so. This change should be small enough to actually apply it in Dapper aswell, I hope.

Jérôme,

I saw this happening on a totally updated Feisty as of yesterday. It's very confusing; I had to poke the mouse, give many three finger salutes, push the power button repeatedly and still staring to a blank screen. Something I did finally got the screen saver to ask me for my password and let me in.

I can confirm it in Feisty.

This seems to be working correctly now in gutsy tribe 4 (20070808.1 i386 d-i, desktop install), with consolekit installed as it is by default.
