Bug Description
Binary package hint: tkdiff
This concerns tkdiff 4.1.4 in Karmic.
Multiple sequential \r characters (as in DOS files with lines ending in \r\r\n) in an input file to Tkdiff cause the alignment of the left vs. right file to become increasingly disjoint.
See the attached tarball for two small input files. file1.txt is normal Unix text; file2.txt is a file with nearly identical text, DOS line endings for the most part, and \r\r\n line endings on the lines that are different from file1.txt. Step through the differences in Tkdiff, and the problem will become apparent.
