Mac OS X: can't use editor application with spaces in the name

Bug Description

When configuring editors in the wallet, setting "xls = Microsoft Excel.app" gives the error message on the Terminal:

The file /Users/nmb/Career/Excel.app does not exist

because it used the command line "open -a /Applications/Microsoft Excel.app other_file" without quoting the space in the application name.
