detected currency is often a duplicate of a shipped currency

From the Settings -> Currency menu, if using a US locale you will see "USD [detected]" followed by "USD". This could perhaps be confusing.

I think the best option might be to remove any item from the list if the currency nickname ("USD") matches the locale currency nickname, so you only see the detected entry. It will be best to use detected I think, and assume the system knows better than the shipped currency for any differences that might exist.
