Bug Description

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

When saving a document that contains bullet lists as RTF, part of the list formatting is lost: some items have the expected formatting, others don't.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open the attached list.odt file [1]
2. Go to File -> Save As
3. Select Rich Text Format (.rtf) in the file type drop down box
4. Click save
5. Close Open Office
6. Open the saved RTF file with Open Office

Expected behaviour
The RTF version of the file has the same formatting as the ODT version.

Actual behaviour
In the RTF version of the file, some of the list items have lost their bullet and identation (see attached screenshot [2] for a side by side comparison).

I just tested the bug with the Sun version of OpenOffice installed in Ubuntu Karmic and can confirm that the bug occurs both with Sun OpenOffice and Ubuntu OpenOffice.

Bruno Girin, this issue is unreproducible in LibreOffice Writer via the Terminal:

cd ~/Desktop && wget https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/+bug/514686/+attachment/1122664/+files/list.odt && unoconv --listener && unoconv -f rtf list.odt && lowriter -nologo list.rtf

notice the bullet structure is preserved. Does this work for you?

[This is an automated message.]
There are no new official OpenOffice.org releases in Ubuntu packaging anymore => Won't Fix

If the problem persists, please mark this bug as "also affects project Libreoffice" or "also affects distribution Libreoffice (Ubuntu)" if that has not happened already.

Please leave references to upstream OpenOffice.org bugs in place to allow cross pollination.
