Bug Description

In all versions, including the initial Lucid Alpha 2, one could click on the "Home Folder" icon in "Places" and move it to a Panel, then release the mouse to place a "shortcut" there.

This is now not possible.
See attachment to see intended operation.

Acceptable workaround found, but still interested in why it was changed.
"Open your home folder.
Then from there drag the folder button to the top panel."

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Oneiric Ocelot. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next release of Ubuntu. You can find out more about the development release at http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/ . Thanks again and we appreciate your help.

Changed to invalid as problem reported is no longer evident in current Lucid releases. Also have not tested with nor will be able to test with Oneiric Ocelot.
