He receive the invitation on MSN Messenger, but not on Yahoo Messenger (he uses this messenger)

Yes its always the same problem, but it may be due to the bug when adding a contact ( https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/telepathy-butterfly/+bug/513922 ) because I have the error report open, I cancel and I receives the invitation only on MSN

Does this only happen when the user is using windows?

No with Linux too, when I send the invitation from
of empathy to receive the invitation in pidgin, I receive
nothing ...

I have this problem as well, once in a while someone will try to get me to add him/her/it as a friend on yahoo, I get the friend request fine however if I click "Deny" it does not work and the next time I log in I will get that same request. I have not tried the "Accept" button yet since most accounts that try to friend me are just spam bots. Using Ubuntu 10.04 Beta 2

I have to log into the yahoo web messenger in order to actually deny a friend request.
