Installer hangs X at `Scanning Disks'

Hi,
My name is SAI KUMAR.
I've received my Dapper 6.06 LTS CDs recently.

When I put the CD into the disc and boot it....Everything was going on fine.

I Clicked the INSTALL button on the desktop...in the last moment it is showing SCANNING ALL DISKS and a status bar....Then comes the problem. The status bar suddenly comes to halt and the CD shuts down and the system halts in the middle....There is no movement of the mouse or any other device when I try to press something...
The installation doesn't proceed.
So I rebooted the system and again the same problem arises....
This situation was arised so many times.
I'm unable to know what the Bug is.
Please help me to sove the problem.

Can you please provide us with details of the hardware that you are running Ubuntu on? Without such details, we can't really do much.

Processor:: Intel Pentium 4 2.4GHz
RAM:: 256MB
Disk:: 40GB
Motherboard:: ASUS 533MHz

I don't know how much we'll be able to do about this, but at any rate it isn't really an installer problem as such.
