Bug Description
Binary package hint: openoffice.org
OpenOffice.org does not save or read certain characters (I have discovered only one) from/to a .DOC for Word 95 or Word 6.0 properly.
Steps to reproduce:
1.) Create a new document containing letter "ý".
2.) Save document in format .doc for Word 95 or Word 6.0 and close document.
3.) Open saved document - each letter "ý" is replaced by a copyright sign.

My understanding is that the character support has been fixed as much as the file formats will allow seeing they do not support all of the characters that we are trying to use today. Thank you for taking the time to report this bug.
