Bug Description
Notebook HP Pavilion dv6 VT917EA. OS: Ubuntu 9.10 64 bit, kernel 2.6.31-18-generic. Trying to hibernate notebook, but it fails and just restarts.
Shows message "Swap header not found" on black screen before restart. Im using NOT swap partition, but swap file 8Gb.
Suspend not working too, just blocks screen.

I don't think our current methods support using a swap file for hibernation, at
least not without using stuff like uswsusp, though that's quite hard to configure.
It's considerably easier to configure it for TuxOnIce, but it's not in either
the mainline kernel or the Ubuntu kernel (you need to patch it in and compile
yourself).
Just to confirm nothing else is going wrong regarding hibernation on this
system, please try using a swap partition for hibernation.
