Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubuntuone-client

After opening the Ubuntu One file, I click on "connect" button, it changes to "connecting" and grays out, but never actually connects. Any file I drop into the folder doesnot get uploaded.
Also there seems to be a disconnect with the icon on the tool bar and the folder. When "connect" is chosen from the Ubuntu One icon, it wont even read that it is "connecting".
Using Karmic

Hi,

I'm sorry to hear Ubuntu One isn't working properly for you. I believe this is related to bug 488413. Can you try the following and let me know if the problem goes away for you?

1. System->Administration->Software Sources
2. Click on the Updates tab
3. Check "Proposed updates (karmic-proposed)"
4. Close the dialog
5. Refresh when prompted
6. System->Administration->Synaptic Package Manager
7. Search for "ubuntuone" and mark for upgrade
8. Click the "Apply" button
9. Restart the Ubuntu One client

Thank you,

Joshua

Hi!

I just wanted you to know that this fix did indeed work. Thank you so
much! I just found it strange that it affected my netbook but not the
desktop. Probably just something to do with UNR. Thanks again!
