Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

- I'm on karmic

- I edited /etc/default/grub to add "noapic" :

"GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash noapic"

because without that, there is a kernel panic :

- When i'm on ac power, the system is very very slow, basically unusable, but when i'm on battery , it's at its normal speed

- My system : HP 6530b

UPDATE:
i've now remove "noapic" from /etc/default/grub, run "update-grub", restarted, still the same thing slow when ac power is plugged in.

 Thanks for any help

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. A new version of GNOME Power Manager is available on Maverick and we are wondering if this bug is still an issue for you with that version? Could you please test and comment back? Thanks in advance.
