Binary package hint: bug-buddy
When I launch bug-buddy from the menu, it opens https:/

I can confirm this. In the .desktop file, I see the following:
Exec=gnome-open https:/ /launchpad. net/distros/ ubuntu/ +filebug
IMVHO, this is not expected. People that want to file a bug can visit the site on their own. People who want to use bug-buddy to assist them through the process should be able to launch it from the menu. After all, it isn't even "bug buddy" if it doesn't invoke bug buddy and invokes a link.
Two entries can be inserted in the menu. A "Report a bug" entry (which existed under Help during the development stages of Dapper IIRC) which will open the Launchpad website and a "Bug Buddy" entry that will actually invoke bug-buddy.
