Problems with calls when VPN tunnel is active

Bug Description

Binary package hint: ekiga

In contrast to previous versions of Ekiga (e.g. successfully tested under Ubuntu 8.04 with the outdated Ekiga version from that time) , V 3.2.5 under Ubuntu 9.10 does not allow calls through an active VPN tunnel established with vpnc. Ekiga displays the SIP account to be successfully registered to the Corporate call manager, but calls are not established.

With the box connected to the company's corporate network directly (thus VPN tunnel inactive) Ekiga fully functions and calls are possible.

Any idea?

Thanks for the report, any chance to get an ekiga debug log ? Please read http://wiki.ekiga.org/index.php/Debugging_Ekiga : run ekiga as: ekiga -d 4 2>output.txt and attach that info to the report, thanks.

Hi,

As it is network related, and there is a regression in 3.2.x compared to 2.0.x related to STUN, this patched version *may* work:
https://launchpad.net/~sevmek/+archive/ppa

Please give it a try. (builds from 9.04 to 10.04)

Best regards,
Yannick
