indicator not working after system restart

The xchat-indicator package appeared to be working after the initial installation. Since then I have rebooted my system, and the indicator no longer functions: I do not have any notifications under the "XChat IRC" messaging menu.

I started xchat in the console so that I could track the debug output. During this session I recieved a few direct in-channel messages. The indicator should have been aware of them, but I saw nothing in the messaging menu or console log to indicate that.

It seems the indicator knows about the channel focus and blur, but only some of the time?

Are you still able to reproduce this? I am setting it to incomplete for now, please re-open if you can still reproduce it.
