Explanation, why choqok alpha should be in the 10.04 LTS:

I talked to upstream about shipping an alpha version in our next release. The lead developer would prefer havening 0.9.4 in Lucid:

"> We have feature freeze in a month and after that we can surely implement a

So, It seems it's better to use 1.0 Alpha one!
I think and I hope to have at least one another beta or alpha release before April! there's some
new features in trunk already, and some bugs have been fixed! So If you decide to use 1.0 in
Lucid, its better to have another release for it!

In features view, I think current trunk has most of 0.6.6 features + some new ones!
Just notification of new statuses didn't implemented yet!

So, I prefer to use 1.0Alpha2(or 3) in Lucid due many of it's bugs have been fixed until now (in
trunk)"

However there are some probably showstopper problems, like the missing notifications, upstream mentioned above.
Another big problem is the following:

"Account management and many other things have changed after 0.6.6 i.e. from version
1.0Alpha1, And So we need to re-enter Account information! (I'm so sorry about it)
So if your bug is this, Yes, I know it! If not please explain it."

After having a look at the bugs about choqok in Launchpad, it seems that we can close half of them (well, there are 6 or so ;)), if we ship 0.9.4

It is probably best to wait a few more days and see what Alpha3 or maybe beta1 brings. I intended with this bug report to keep you updated and prepare for a sync, if we want choqok 0.9.4 in Lucid.
