xchat cannot connect to multiple channels at startup

I have access to connect to more than 20 channels on freenode however when I connect not all my favorite channels are connected. My channel list is as follows:

If I run this command, it works perfectly:

Where did you set the autoconnect? It is possible the add multiple channels to autojoin in the network configuration.

I set the multiple channels (seen in the bug description) to autojoin in the network configuration:
Xchat > Network List > Freenode > Favorite channels

When I connect to the network, not all my favorite channels are connected. My old workaround was to use the command above. My current workaround is to break up the command into two commands and running "LOAD -e /path/to/joinfile" as a connect command.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running apport-collect <bug #> and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
