and more doc probably as well. while writing nose-subunit, I don't know what "tags" are supposed to do. in addition, it is not clear to me how progress: push/pop should work

Certainly, I think there might be a separate bug for that.

tags are user defined things with user defined meaning; the progress
stuff has a pretty comprehensive doc in README - did that not make
sense?

I think this is fixed with the v2 documentation; the StreamResult API is very well defined IMNSHO. Do you folk concur?
