Bug Description

Binary package hint: cups

CUPS is not loaded, and it is not possible to print.

When selecting "System>Administration>Printing", there is no option to add new printer (It is grayed out).

Also, see attachment for inconsistency in wording in help screen; there is no "System>Administration>Services".

This appears to be a duplicate of bug 495726. No one seems to be paying attention to it.

In the interim, open a terminal and type 'sudo /etc/init.d/cups start' (without the quotes). Go back to System/Printing and you'll be able to restore/add printers.

It only works on one session at a time, so you'll need to do this every time you restart or logout. At least it remembers your printers.
