Empathy don't conect in wireless web.

Binary package hint: empathy

I'm using a notebook, and wen I use the Empathy comunicator, i can't conect at MSN acount with wireless conection. But, if i'm using a wired conection, the program works without problems.

Can you please test with the development release of empathy to see if it works with the latest empathy you can use this ppa https://launchpad.net/~telepathy/+archive/ppa and please let us know if the issue still exist.

I can try providing any needed info as I am facing the same problem. I tried with the development version of empathy. I am still not able to connect when in wireless network. I checked that the avahi daemon is running and the relevant ports for Bonjour ( tcp 5298 , udp 5353) are not blocked in my firewall. Is there any specific information you need ?

This could be a gtk issue? ubuntu 10.04 has the lastest version of gtk. If you are already using 10.04 is this still an issue?

I do not face this issue any more. I guess this ticket can be closed. I will tentatively wait for few days before closing this ticket !
