Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.5

I click on Ubunto Software Center from the Applications Menu, it opens then immediately disappears. It is not in the tray or hidden. It is closed.

This is a bug of the software-center package so I´ve reassigned this bug to the software-center package and I´ve changed the status to Incomplete, please You must add more information. Thank You for making Ubuntu better.

Below is the output that I received. I have upgraded my video card because the old one was horrible.

NVIDIA OpenGL Driver requires CPUs with SSE to run.

The current CPU does not support SSE.

ERROR: Caught a segmentation fault while loading plugin file:
/usr/lib/gstreamer-0.10/libgstlibvisual.so

Please either:
- remove it and restart.
- run with --gst-disable-segtrap and debug.

Hi, this is a problem for me too. I've just upgraded to Ubuntu 10.4.

When I run software-center from the Terminal window, I get:

This is strange. I've just run "About Ubuntu", and it says I'm using 9.10.

I'm sure the update routine said it was installing 10.4. I've already restarted once. I'll try again, just in case some things didn't start properly.

No, a restart doesn't help. About Ubuntu stills says I'm running 9.10, and the Software Centre closes straight after it's opened.

Just running the Update Manager again.

Looks like this was down to a corrupt install. I went through the update process again and all is now working fine.
