Bug Description

My problem is that I have benq szw 3300 u scanner. According to snapscan page [http://snapscan.sourceforge.net/], I have to download u176v046.bin or u222v067.bin windows firmware and put it in /usr/share/sane/snapscan. Then I have to edit /etc/sane.d/snapscan.conf.

I did it, and only I get that the scanner warms up. But no scan images.
When I run scanimage, I receive the error:

scanimage: open of device snapscan:libusb:002:002 failed: Error during device I/O

Any suggestions?
Perhaps it's a bad firmware?

Thanks a lot,
Xan.

PS: My snapscan.conf is like:

# Change to the fully qualified filename of your firmware file, if
# firmware upload is needed by the scanner
firmware /usr/share/sane/snapscan/u176v046.bin
[...]

# Change to the fully qualified filename of your firmware file, if
# firmware upload is needed by the scanner
firmware /usr/share/sane/snapscan/u176v046.bin
[...]

I run

cannot read device status, Broken pipe (32)

I attach the file.

Alternatively I use u222v067.bin or u176v046.bin in snapscan.conf file with the same results:
open of device snapscan:libusb:002:002 failed: Error during device I/O

using xsane or scanimage.
