Bug Description
Binary package hint: casper
The graphical installer reformats all partitions as ext3 regardless of their current filesystem. For instance, I wanted to make /home an xfs partition, and I wanted to have a fat32 partition to possibly dual-boot windoze to play some games that don't work in wine, but the installer reformats them as ext3 with no option to leave them be.

This isn't supposed to be true and is not my experience. Please attach /var/log/ installer/ syslog and /var/log/partman after such an installation (or /var/log/ installer/ syslog and /var/log/ installer/ partman if you've already rebooted).
