Bug Description

Ubuntu: 9.10
Wifi: Atheros AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter
Driver: ath9k
PC: EeePC 1008HA

Hi,
I do not get 802.11n connections with my Atheros AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter.
I only get 54Mb/s. With Windows I get 150Mb/s.

The Card is correctly recognized with wireless=IEEE 802.11bgn (lshw)

Had anyone the same Problem and a solution?

Greetings
Wolf

Hi,

The driver in intended to have n capabilities http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/ath9k

I'd encourage you to ask in http://www.ubuntuforums.org for help to enable n capabilities, and come back with your results.

Thanks in advance.

I'm having this issue with a Comtrend AR-5381u router. I launch an SCP copy over the network and it only gets 2,8MB/s which is the same as on 802.11g. If I configure the router to be in 802.11n only mode, then I can't connect to it.

My eeePC 1101ha also has this issue with maverick netbook.
My Dell xps m1530 connects fine with 802.11n, however the 1101ha can only connect 802.11g (AR9285)
Have there been any successful cases of connecting to 802.11n with the AR9285?

I solved the issue by enabling WiFi multimedia (WMM) on the router.
