apport service marked my previous bug report (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apt/+bug/507501) invalid so i'm reporting this again

Same here, apt-get and aptitude do segmentation fault at then end of the install process.

I was removing and installing grub-common and removing grub and installing grub-pc in an upgraded 8.04>10.04 installation when this occurred.
Terminal ouput below;
