web browser from preferred applications is not used by "connect to server"

Bug Description

Binary package hint: nautilus

Steps to reproduce the bug:
1. System -> Preferences -> Preferred applications
2. Web Browser: Epiphany
3. Places -> Connect to Server
4. Service Type: Custom location
5. uri: http://www.google.com, name: test
6. double-click on the desktop icon "test"
7. Link is opened in firefox

Thanks for your bug report. Which version of Ubuntu and nautilus do you use? This works nicely for me in Edgy.

I am running Dapper, nautilus 2.14.1.

I have noticed, that "Connect to server" icons react to .html mime type setting, not "Preferred applications". For example, if I save some .html file to desktop and then select preferred handler for the file in properties dialog, "connect to server" will use this setting. I think this behaviour is a bit confusing, since "connect to server" icon itself does not allow me to select the handler.

So, does nautilus in edgy use "preferred application" instead of mime type handler?
