oh, solution :
sudo rm /etc/rc2.d/S20boinc-client

was not a sysmlink here. don't know why.

I've checked in Lucid and and symlink is installed in rc2.d. I'm closing this report since you've fixed it and I haven't seen any duplicate. Don't hesitate to submit any new bug.
