Firefox seems to revert back to version 3.0.16 from 3.5

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

I had installed Firefox 3.5 as soon as it came out. But recently i found out that i was running ver 3.0.16 again. So i re-installed 3.5, which was confirmed and showing in the "About" window, But i am running ver 3.0.16. It seems to revert itself back to previous version. I haven't had a chance to find out exactly when or how it happens, but most likely on re-boot.
I am using Ubuntu 8.04

Thank you for reporting this to Ubuntu. There is no official version of Firefox 3.5 for Hardy yet. i'm not sure where you're installing this from. Hardy will most likely jump to Firefox 3.6 later this yet.

You might want to install Firefox 3.6 from the firefox-stable PPA to replace Firefox 3.0:
