Bug Description
Binary package hint: f-spot
If I export from F-spot to a directory the PPI settings of the original image (like 300 ppi) are preserved. Also when I open an image with GIMP I get the original PPI.
* But when I open an image from F-Spot in GIMP, GIMP chooses the settings for "new images". So that for instance an 300 ppi images gets reduced to 72 ppi!
This behaviour is dangerous for further editing process. The user will assume that he is editing the original settings.
I don't know which programs fault it is as both can import and export correctly when done differently.
This bug happens to me every time.

Thanks for the report Thilo, that is working fine for me with Lucid, I've opened the same file with eog and gimp and in both the ppi are exported as it should, could you please test the same and comment back? otherwise attach an example we can test with ? thanks in advance.
